The Portage Store has been outfitting Algonquin canoeists since 1937. Located on Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park the store serves as one of the gateways to Algonquin’s backcountry (Canoe Lake Access Point). The store offers a wide range of outfitting services and rental options, including canoes, kayaks, camping equipment and complete backcountry camping packages. Our well stocked store features a wide range of camping supplies for sale. Enjoy the view from our 100 seat restaurant overlooking historic Canoe Lake. Start your day with a hearty breakfast or relax over dinner. Our homemade burgers are scrumptious and the beer is ice cold. We offer hand scooped ice cream to go. Our gift shop is an exceptional Canadiana store featuring a unique assortment of Algonquin Park T-shirts and polar fleece, handmade pottery, decoys, nature recordings, Group of Seven prints, moccasins and Native handicrafts.
