Astronomy in Algonquin Park

Algonquin Park's wild country and dark sky make it an ideal location for stargazing in southern Ontario. Despite no official designation, Algonquin's dark sky (lack of human created light) draws amateur and professional astronomers from abroad.

Astronomy is possible from nearly every location in the Park, but is best observed away from some of the Park's developed areas that contain artificial lighting.
