Get Your Fishing Licence Before Arriving in Algonquin Park

Ontario Parks is reporting...

"The Province of Ontario has introduced a new provincial program for the sale of hunting and fishing licences. Algonquin Park is in the midst of installing and bringing online the new Fish Licensing System at backcountry access point permit offices. We anticipate this system being available by the long weekend in May. Unfortunately, we are unable to sell fishing licences at our access point offices at this time. The Park will advise when the system is up and operational for issuing fishing licences to its visitors.

In the interim, the Park is recommending that incoming park visitors purchase their appropriate fishing licences prior to their arrival in Algonquin Park. We thank you for you cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

Please note that this bulletin means anglers still require the appropriate fishing licence (if required) when angling in Algonquin Park. See the Ontario Fishing Regulations Summary for more details.
