Dogsledding in Algonquin
There are two dogsledding trails in Algonquin Park — one is found along Highway 60 while the second is located in the northwest corner of the Park.

• Sunday Lake Dog Sled Trail –
on Highway 60 - access is from the Sunday Lake Dog Sled Trail (winter sign) / Big Pines Trail (summer sign) parking lot at Km 40.3, opposite the Rock Lake Road entrance.

• North Algonquin Dog Sled Trail –
access is by way of the town of South River on Highway 11.

Detailed maps of the Dog Sled Trails are available at the East and West Gates along Highway 60, or by contacting the Algonquin Park Information Office.

Park permits are required for the use of these trails.

WALKING IS NOT PERMITTED on dogsled trails as deep tracks can result in injuries to sled dogs. Snowshoers and skiers must yield the trail to dogsledders.

Remember, your safety in Algonquin Park is ultimately YOUR responsibility. Be prepared. As always, these trails are used at your own risk.
